Artist Book: Fan's Bible

A book focusing on Asian fanbases, this book centers on the phenomenon of the Asian fanbase and explores the profound "beliefs" that young Asians have developed in today's atheistic society. In this contemporary landscape, idolized celebrities have assumed the status of quasi-deities, effectively creating a "spiritual utopia" unique to this era.
In East Asia, the fervent worship of celebrities has evolved into a culture of fanaticism. By dissecting the inner workings of this culture and the collective behavior of its fans, we come to interesting conclusions that are similar to the dynamics of religion and the church.
Idols, fan clubs, and fan codes of behavior are equivalent to the concepts of "God," "church," and "code of worship" in a religious context, and the terminology used among fans blends seamlessly into this newfound religious vocabulary.
The book's illustrations draw inspiration from traditional Chinese art and scripture, while coloring the content in a modern iconoclastic style. In an almost absurd way, it offers insight into the world of fandom.
